Welcome back to the second half of the Autumn term! We have lots of exciting learning taking place this half term. 

Our topic title this half term is 'Is Rio like Wetwang?' 

The children in Class 1 will be learning all about life in Brazil, looking at a small area of Brazil and comparing it to life in Wetwang. We will locate Brazil on a map in Geography, look at weather patterns and compare the weather in Rio de Janeiro to the U.K. In DT, we will design, make and evaluate our own carnvial instruments and also design our own carnival mask to use in our very own Rio carnival! We will also learn a samba dance in P.E and use our dance moves in our Brazilian carnival!

Tapestry will also be used to share your child's learning and any class updates.

Please continue to read with your child at least 4 times a week or daily if possible and make sure this has been signed in their yellow reading record.
