What was school like in Victorian times?

Welcome back to the new academic year, we hope you all had a fantastic summer! We are so excited to get stuck in to our first topic of the year 'What was school like in Victorian times?'. Over Autumn 1, the children will learn all about schools in the Victorian times, they will even get the opportunity to go on a visit to immerse themselves into the Victorian lifestyle. Alongside this, they will explore Victorian buildings through sketching!  Throughout this half-term, we will also be looking animals including humans, and weather patterns.

• Homework will be sent out Thursdays
• Spelling tests for Y1: Thursdays
• A reminder for children to bring their PE kits in on a monday and then to be returned home on a Friday. 
• Please read with your child 3x weekly and record this in their reading records.
