Collective Worship

Across our federation our clear Christian ethos is at the heart of everything we do; it is embedded in our curriculum, in the consideration and mutual respect shown by both staff and pupils towards one another and in all decisions that are made. Our Christian faith is the golden thread that helps to create a happy, warm, loving and forgiving environment in which all members of the school family can thrive. Our links with the church and diocese are of utmost importance to us. Collective worship helps us to share our Christian values and vision in a variety of ways, through singing, drama, reflection, prayer and creativity.

Worship is planned, monitored and evaluated by the collective worship leader in close partnership with our pupil worship teams, who work extremely hard across both schools, parents and governors. In our worship we always explore the Anglican calendar.

Our worship teams have a strong link with Archbishop C of E Junior school in Bishopthorpe, York. We meet to share ideas for even more lively worship and for strengthening the Christian ethos even more.

Collective worship themes are based on the six main Christian values for our school:

The theme for this half-term is: RESPONSIBILITY

We are extremely pround to announce that our worship teams, along with Archbishop Junior's gave a presentation at the diocesan conference in June this year.
