Welcome to Class 3

Teacher: Mrs Cooper

Our topic this half-term: What is life like in the Polar Regions?

Welcome back to the first term of this academic year. We will be identifying what life is like in the Polar Regions. We will find the countries that lie within them and the oceans that surround them. The Artic and the Antarctic have many differences. We will examine these as well as looking at the similarities. The environment is tough in the Polar Regions and we will look at climate and weather before considering who lives there and what life is like. During the unit we will look at the physical features and the living organisms that inhabit this area. Lastly, we will find out the impact of humans on the Polar Regions and the effect of tourism. Building on existing knowledge and analysing new information, we will answer the question: What is life like in the Polar Regions?
