I have tried to include links to a variety of subjects. The links may require you to register, but they are all free. Please feel free to pick areas that you feel comfortable with and move at a pace that suits you. There is no hand-in date, but if you wish to show me what you have completed, I would be very pleased to see it, and you can email it to me or save it to show me on our return.
I really look forward to seeing you all when it is safe to do so.

SODA (Starter of the day)
Monday to Friday at 9am Joe Wicks will be live streaming a fun-packed workout for you to join in with! If you miss the live video you can always join in later.
Or if you would rather complete SODA involving some Maths, why not go to 'Top Marks' and focus on some different Maths questions to start your day! Go to https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button and challenge yourself to some quick fire maths questions!
Maths
White Rose Maths Team has prepared a series of five maths lessons for each year group and will be adding five more each week for the next few weeks. Every lesson comes with a short video showing you clearly and simply how to help your child complete the activity successfully.

Additionally, there are some other Maths resources for both Year 2 and 3 children with answers uploaded below. Within the booklets are different areas of Maths which the children have already covered.
Writing Ideas
If you would like more English resources you can access the following websites to support you with creating some amazing writing! You can visit 'Pobble 365' and choose a picture you would like to write about or you can visit the 'Literacy Shed' website and watch a short clip that you can describe! Remember to include all the important things in your writing that we have been learning about Class 2!
https://www.literacyshed.com/home.html
Additionally, you can download and complete the Year 2 or 3 English activity booklet, including areas that the children have already covered.
Topic - Wriggle and Crawl
Class 2's next topic is 'Wriggle and Crawl.' We will focus lots on living things and their habitats, food chains and what things live outside!
You could research about a mini-beast and create a non-chronological report about it! Or you might want to create a fact file about one using the internet or books to research!
Can you go on a mini-beast hunt in your garden? What can you find? You could even take some pictures of the living things you find and bring them in to class when we return to school!
Weekly Spellings/ Common Exception words
In Year 2 and 3, there are some statutory words that children need to read and write by the end of the year. These have been included in the Home learning packs and should be learned. How many can you learn to write in one day?
Also, for our weekly spellings which are seperate to the common exception words, we follow a Spelling programme called 'Oxford Owl.'
Uploaded below are the spellings for week beginning 30.3.20. Please can you test your child on these spellings on Friday and make a record of their score in their green spelling book.
Thank you!
