Welcome back, we hope you all had a lovely half term! 

This half term, the children's topic is 'Is Rio like Sledmere?'. We will be learning all about our local area and it's physical/human features as well as exploring Rio, Brazil and seeing how different the children live in Brazil! They will also be learning about continents and the oceans alongside this.

As well as learning about Rio, we have Bonfire night, Remembrance day, Christmas and the Christmas Nativity to look forward too!

• Homework will be sent out Thursdays
• Spelling tests for Y1: Thursdays
• A reminder for children to bring their PE kits in on a monday and then to be returned home on a Friday. 
• Please read with your child 3x weekly and record this in their reading records.
