Welcome back and a happy new year to you all.

This half term, Class 1 and pre-school's topic is: 'Who has been into space?'

We will be learning all about what is in space, famous astronauts such as Neil Armstrong and Mae Jemison, learning about how space has changed over time and also creating our own space themed toys using mechanisms in DT.

In Geography we will be learning weather patterns, in Science we will learn about the human body and animals inlcuding humans.

Please find attached our class newsletter, home learning ideas, long term plan and maths KIRF information for the Spring 1 term. 

For your information:

• Home work will be sent out on Friday's.
• Spelling tests for Y1/2: Friday's.
• P.E kit to be in school from Monday and then to be returned home on a Friday.
• Please read with your child at least 3 x per week - we have a 'reading rocket' reward system in class 1 for 10 reads.

MATHS KIRFS (Key instant recall facts)

• FS2 - Number bonds to 10
• Year 1 - Number bonds upto 10
• Year 2 - recall multiplication and division facts for the 2 x table.

If you have any resources that could enhance our space topic this half term, please let us know and we can arrange something for the class.
