Shape Penguin
This week the Year 1 Learning Pack contains some ideas for learning about Penguins! Cut out the shapes carefully and assemble them to make a penguin. How many sides and corners does each shape have? Can you name them all? Go on a shape hunt around your house and draw the shapes you find. Remember to share them on Tapestry. We love to see what you have been doing.

Pencils at the ready....
Have a go at drawing your own penguin. Decorate it and describe your penguin to your grown up. Write a sentence to go with your picture and take a photo to share on Tapestry. We can't wait to see it.

Special to Me
My favourite book is "The Smartest Giant in Town". It is a book that I have read so many times to both of my children. I know it off by heart and it holds such happy memories. Every night my children wouldn snuggle into bed. We would sing the song together and laugh every time George the Giant's trousers fell down. By the end of the story, my children would both be fast asleep and dreaming.
