Welcome back and a happy new year to you all.

This half term, Class 1s topic 'Who has been into space?'

We will be learning all about what is in space, famous astronauts such as Neil Armstrong and Mae Jemison, learning about how space has changed over time and also creating our own space themed toys using mechanisms in DT. Alongside this the children will also have the opportunity to embark on their own space adventure with a visit from the Wonderdome!

In Geography we will be learning weather patterns, in Science we will learn about the human body and animals inlcuding humans.

• Homework will be sent out Thursdays
• Spelling tests for Y1: Thursdays
• A reminder for children to bring their PE kits in on a monday and then to be returned home on a Friday. 
• Please read with your child 3x weekly and record this in their reading records.
