Key Stage 2 SATs

In May, each Year 6 child working at or above the level of the test undertakes Statutory Assessment Tests (SATs) in Reading, Mathematics, and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (GPS), testing children in the National Curriculum. They are taken on set days and last under 5.5 hours. The test papers are externally marked and results of the tests are shared with parents/carers in July. Year 6 children are expected to reach 'National' expectations. Writing is subject to teacher assessment and to periodic moderation by East Riding of Yorkshire Council (at least every four years).
