Governing Body

Effective Governors are vital to the School. They have three core functions:

  1. Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
  2. Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff; and
  3. Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

These functions require the right people with the necessary skills (training is available), time and commitment.

Our Governing Body has 15 governor posts representing the whole school community. If you are interested in contributing to the work of the Governing Body, please contact the Chair of Governors or the Headteacher. You can contact governors through the school office.
